review quickies pattaya thailand/

Quickies, formerly and sometimes still known as Quicky Bar, wins the award for the most honestly named venue in all of Pattaya. Like the recently reviewed Lisa Bar further down Quickies is located on the infamous Soi 6 strip.

Quickies is located on the North side of Soi 6. It is closer to Second Road than the beach. The place is clearly marked with a sign but that can be difficult for people to see when they are walking down Soi 6 in crowds of scantly clad women calling out to them. That’s especially true for Quickies since they still use an old sign that says “Quicky Bar” even though the name of the place has actually been changed.

Quickies on Soi 6

Like Lisa Bar it seems that Quickies has made a name for itself and remained popular even in spite of the intense competition presented by nearby bars. Also similar to Lisa Bar it seems this is mostly down to the women on staff since there isn’t really anything else that would set the bar apart from others jammed in the same soi.

Quickies Bar PattayaQuickies Bar Pattaya

Unlike Lisa Bar uniforms have nothing to do with it. The half dozen or so women who work at Quicky Bar don’t wear coordinated outfits anymore. In the past they often sported plaid skirts like the women at Lolita’s but now they are able to put on whatever they want. Although it usually quite revealing and made up of things like halter tops and short shorts the fact that it doesn’t all match means that Quicky Bar falls behind some other places on the street at least in that regard.

And that regard might not actually matter at all. I don’t think most punters who travel up and down Soi 6 looking for quickies necessarily care if the gals at Quickies are all in matching kits. At the same time it seems pretty obviously that some of the places that do use sexy uniforms seem to draw in at least curious guys with a little help from the outfits the women wear.

Prices, services, staff

Things that matter universally are the staff and the available of service. As the name suggests Quickies does have rooms available upstairs like every other bar on Soi 6. The price to use those rooms is a standard 300 Baht ($9 USD). The women who work in the part normally ask customers for 1000 Baht ($32 USD) for a short session which is also standard for the street.

The women who work at Quickies range in looks. Beauty is ultimately in the eye of the beholder but the gals at Quickies would probably generally be described as relatively average for Soi 6 by most guys. Of course there are always exceptions and women come and go at these kinds of places.

Quickies might not be as popular now as it was a few years ago but that would be tough to measure. What I can say is that the bar design has changed over the years along with the name. Orginally it was a more or less closed bar with an inside decorated as you might expect. Now the bar has an outside portion along with a lesser used inside portion behind a sort of curtain.

I don’t know if that has had any effect on business but it is worth mentioning. This seems to be the way most bars are going now. The open air sections seem a little strange to me in a day and age when tourists walk up and down the soi with cameras but I guess the show in the soi even draws out the guys with an itch to take a lot at the goings on too. Two-and-a-half stars.

review thanh cong ho chi minh city vietnam/

Thanh Cong is one of the many hot toc goi dau businesses in Ho Chi Minh City. Operating out of a deceptively small storefront not far from the previously reviewed Kim Yen on Hoang Sa the place is marked by a clear white sign bearing the shop’s name.

The shop is more or less open to the street. The glass doors in the front are not tinted to the point where people cannot see inside. This is probably by design. In Vietnam what you see is not always what you get.

Thanh Cong

Unlike Kim Yen the doors at Thanh Cong are not locked most of the time. So customers can simply walk into the little lobby. There among unused barbershop chairs and the clutter of a family home they are greeted by a male or female attendant or manager.

Very little English is spoken by anyone at Thanh Cong. In fact no languages other than Vietnamese seem to be spoken by anyone in the shop though that is hardly unique to Thanh Cong. It is more or less the norm across shops and venues of all kind in Vietnam. Still foreigners are warmly welcomed.

Hot Toc hidden camHot Toc hidden cam

After customers enter and request a massage they meet with one of the women on staff. Most times there only seems to be one lady working though perhaps during busier hours there may be more. The women who work at Thanh Cong are of average attractiveness and seem to all be in the mid to late twenties.

Thanh Cong uses private rooms for massages but they are located far above the ground on higher levels. Those levels can only be reached by a long hot climb up a series of staircases.

The private rooms at Thanh Cong are rather large considering the type of shop. They have finished block walls that go all the way up to the ceiling along with thick locking wooden doors. Each room also contains a sturdy massage table and the typical hair washing style sink with soap.

Services and Prices

Once customers are in the private rooms they are routinely and fairly directly asked about extra services. Unlike a lot of hot toc style shops, full service is often offered. There are no set prices for such services at Thanh Cong. In fact the proprietors would probably even claim that they don’t sanction anything other than hair washes at all. Still such services are offered with regularity and usually with starting quotes of 2,000,000 Dong ($88 USD).

This is in comparison to the aforementioned Kim Yen where quotes are more likely to start around 1,000,000 Dong or other places like Hai Yen where similar services are often offered for around 1.3 million. Of course there are more expensive places in the city too. At

Customers who agree receive the agreed upon services in a way that is rather routine. Customers who decide against such services pay another rate or something else or a house fee of about 150,000 Dong plus tip for whatever sort of mediocre and mechanical body rub they receive.

There is no clock watching at Thanh Cong and indeed there doesn’t seem to be any time attached to sessions at all. Rather things are more or less up to the discretion of the service provider. In all cases payment is usually rendered in the room with customers then free to head back down the long stairs and out the front door. One-and-a-half stars.

review thien phu 112 ho chi minh city vietnam/

Thien Phu is one of the many goi dau hair wash slash massage places in Ho Chi Minh City. It is situated about halfway down a street that happens to be home to many places of its type. There are several other places scattered around the city including some other rather large concentrations too. This Thien Phu is not be confused with the previously reviewed Thien Phu that was once located at 49 Nguyen Phi Khanh.

While there are a lot of similar shops in the area each place does have its own unique character. If they didn’t customers would wander in whatever shop they came across first. Perhaps that does happen but it just as common to hear about people bemoaning the loss of their favorite shop such as when Thien Phu closed a while ago.

As luck would have it some of the women who worked at Thien Phu migrated to other places with similar business models. One of those place is Thien Phu where at least two of women who used to work at Thien Phu appeared after that place went out of business for whatever reason.

Thien Phu hot toc

Thien Phu is marked by the same kind of signage as the other businesses of its type around. Customers not keeping an eye open might lose sight of one place while looking for another. Many even have similar names though thanks to some foresight and city planning none of the places have the same street number.

Inside Thien Phu looks like a somewhat disheveled hair salon. The dozen or so women on staff make use of the barber style chairs and other flat surfaces to lay about in between the arrivals of customers. Most of the women seem to be in their twenties though one or two might be older. The ladies range in looks from average to attractive and none are overweight. They all wear matching dresses that accent their appearances.

Price and procedure

After customers enter the shop they either take whichever lady is next in line or select one of the service providers on their own. After that they are guided up a flight of steps to a larger room. That room is subdivided into cubicles. Although the plastic walls between the various sections offer some kind of privacy they obviously do not block any of the sounds that tend to echo off of the high ceiling and block walls.

The doors to the cubicles are actually made of heavy curtains that do not go all the way to the floor. They offer some modicum of privacy but they tend to sway to and fro in the wind put off but the many wall mounted walls.

As is normal for venues of this nature each cubicle contains a place to hang a shirt, a sturdy massage style table and a hair washing sink. The providers themselves carry other accessories such as wet wipes that are used for cleaning along with the soap and water in the sinks.

The standard oral services for this type of venue are offered too with none on staff offering anything more. That is fairly typical for hot tocs but with a select few going further in some nearby venues customers may get different ideas. That is probably one of the reasons why most working shops of the type seem not to want anyone to go any further than necessary. It can create a precedent.

The house fee at Thien Phu is 200,000 Dong ($9 USD) which is typically paid on the way out. Customers normally tip something on top of that to their individual service providers. Locals are likely to offer small tips while foreigners have gotten into the habit of simply forking over a total of 400,000 Dong as if it was a set fee. Three-and-a-half stars.

happy new year 2019/

As 2019 is now upon us I would like to wish a very Happy New Year to all who see this message. I hope that it finds you well. For many this is a time to reflect on the past while simultaneously looking forward to the future to come. I have used this opportunity to update readers on the status of this website over the last several years and I will continue that tradition today.

I started Rockit Reports in 2012 with the goal of spreading information about under-reported aspects of the commercial sex industry around the world. Since that time this website has been read tens of millions of times by people from nearly every country. I have now reported on dozens of countries spanning four continents. New reports have been published here at least once every seven days without interruption. Yet there is still so much more that could be covered.

2019 New Year2019 New Year

In the weeks and months to come I will continue to report on prostitution and the sex industry in its many forms. I will continue to write about locations and venue types that have been covered here in the past. I will also attempt to report on some new locations yet to be described here. As always I hope to produce a mix that is as enjoyable for me to write as it is for you to read.

You can expect several reports on places in countries like Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand in the near future. Though other regions will also be covered as the year progresses. There are new venues opening all the time even as some older spots still not been covered here due to time and resource constraints. In any case there is a lot more to come.

The sex industry and the internet

Rockit Reports was certainly not the first website of its kind though I do believe that I approached the subject in a rather unique way. The fact that Rockit Reports took off so quickly and became a sort of staple of those interested in the sex industry does seem to confirm my thoughts on the matter.

There are certainly more websites pertaining to prostitution now than there were in 2012. They are of varying quality with some being much better than others. I tend to welcome the emergence of genuine websites that enrich. I don’t necessarily have the same opinion about websites that seem to be created only to enrich the people behind them. Yet we all have to make money. That’s why advertisements appear on this website. It is also why the sex industry exists to begin with.

I am all for free speech and it is easy enough to ignore materials that are uninteresting or distasteful. My only real qualm comes with websites that blatantly copy from Rockit Reports and websites like it without as much as an attribution. Alas not much can be done about this. So I continue on producing new material on a regular basis with the hopes that you all will come here read it. So far so good.

Future plans

In terms of layout and editorial style I am considering making a few changes this year. Some are minor while others are major. No matter what I decide to to do this website will continue on reporting along the same lines and on the same subjects throughout 2019 and beyond.

Comments, reports and suggestions continue to be welcomed on Rockit Reports. They are all an important part of the site. I am always pleased to see comments from new readers. I am also happy to find that some readers have turned into regular commenters who enrich this website with their words. Some like Jack, Deca, and European Guy stand out. Though there are certainly many others. Thank you all.

To conclude this fourth annual Happy New Year wish I would like to thank regular readers for continuing to come back to this site. I would also like to welcome new or occasional readers for taking the time out to look over my work. I hope to continue on as I have done in a way that is entertaining and enlightening. Cheers!

changes sex industry pandemic/

Since the COVID-19 Pandemic began there have been several major changes in the commercial sex industry around the world. From a near total shutdown some places have begun an attempt to rebuild while a select few never even closed at all. Still there have been some very real transformations.

First there has been an obvious movement of sex workers towards online adult entertainment. There have also been others driven by desperation into all manner of situations and behaviors. More recently there have been some changes on the ground that seem aimed to deal with what has cam milf become a “new reality” now that we are over six months into the pandemic without respite. Here is just some of what has been happening since I first reported on the impact of the coronavirus on the global sex industry in early 2020.

All around the world the same song

Adult entertainment has been severely curtailed in almost all of the world. Sex shops have either been shuttered or seriously restricted for a period that is now approaching half a year. People are of course still exchanging sex services for money. But it in many cases it looks different than it did in the past.

Even in countries where the sex industry remains mostly open there seem to be less customers and money moving around. In countries like Cambodia the massage parlors, hostess bars and even karaoke clubs remain open as a whole. Yet several individual places have shut down for lack of customers. Other have cut staff or hours.

empty streets in Thailand during Covid-19empty streets in Thailand during Covid-19

In Japan guys can still hire sex services though their options may be slightly more limited. For foreigners that is undoubtedly the case especially since the only two foreign oriented soaplands in the country shut their doors a while back.

The commercial sex industry in South Korea has always had a well deserved reputation for xenophobia. Non-Korean customers have long been banned from most sex shops and refused service at red light districts. Nowadays things are even more difficult for foreign guys looking to pay for play. Even some places that once welcomed foreigners have turned their backs on guys who are not Korean.

Over in Thailand

In Thailand things have followed a somewhat similar course. But rather than local shops closing access to foreigners we see shops usually meant for foreigners opening up to local men. It is a sort of reverse or crossing over from one world to the other. There have long been some shops for foreign customers and some that were mostly meant for Thais. https://tumblrmilf.com/blog Some Thai oriented shops refuse farang. Many or possibly even most foreign oriented shops refused Thai guys.

A combination of xenophobia and a fear of misunderstanding seems to drive the refusal of service to foreigners at Japanese and Korean sex shops. In the farang oriented shops in Thailand it was often the women themselves who wanted a “foreigners only” policy. Whether or not they wanted to avoid judgement or simply running into someone they might know a lot of the sex workers along roads like Sukhumvit in Bangkok have for many years refused to service Thai customers. Things are slowly changing now.

Adult shops that were once solely oriented to foreigners are now openly beckoning Thai customers inside. Thai blowjob bars in particular have long been off limits to Thai guys. Now I have word that the high end 7 Heaven on Sukhumvit Soi 33 in Bangkok is welcoming in Thai customers. Perhaps they made the decision after the nearby Tokyo Jogakuen suck shop shut its doors.

Big changes in Bangkok sex shops

Several erotic massage parlors in Bangkok that have always been meant for foreign customers now accept Thai customers. Many are running advertisements in the Thai language to solicit new visitors. Thai guys with money to spend must be delighted to know they now have full access to the professional nuru massages offered at Doki Doki. That’s on top of the higher end SNCTM nuru massage shop that employs some Doki Doki standouts like the famous Pam.

Other Bangkok establishments that are welcoming in Thai customers these days include Kokoro Massage and the well appointed Daisy Dream massage shop on Soi 33. As far as I know however most if not all foreign oriented go go bars would still restrict entry to foreigners from certain countries with the old “member’s only” policy.

Rather than attempt to adjust to the new reality some other sex shops have simply shutdown. That even includes some very well known places that have been around for decades like the Devil’s Den on LK Metro in Pattaya. I’ve also been told that the famous Eden Club in Bangkok has shut its doors though similar news has spread in the past only to be later revised. Serenity A Go-Go on Soi Buakhao in Pattaya isn’t nearly as historic but it too went out of business suddenly in mid-September 2020.

Despite the hopes of many, there doesn’t appear to be any major opening of international travel in the works. So it seems very likely that more and more places in Thailand and other parts of the world will either have to make adjustments or simply shut down shop and move on. Of course millions of sex workers will continue to ply their trade in order to earn money. And millions of punters will continue to pay them. But when the smoke clears things will very likely look a lot different than they did prior to the year 2020.
